MORE AWARD WINS FOR KIA’S ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Kia e-Niro picks up Best Electric Car from Carbuyer
Kia Soul EV wins DrivingElectric’s Best Medium Electric Car
Both on-sale now at , with deliveries starting in 2020
Kia’s growing range of electric vehicles continues to impress judges as the all-electric e-Niro and Soul EV pick up two new awards. The Kia e-Niro has won Best Electric Car at this year’s Carbuyer awards and the Soul EV has won Driving Electric’s Best Medium Electric Car. Both the Soul EV and the refreshed e-Niro for 2020 are on-sale now at Speedwell Kia.
The multi-award-winning Kia e-Niro has one of largest ranges on the market, capable of 282 miles from one single charge - when customers do need to recharge, it can be back up to 80 per cent battery life in just 54 minutes.
The second generation Soul EV has a range of 280 miles and features top technology such as UVO CONNECT 'connected car' telematics system, plus Forward Collision Warning with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist as standard. It will be available in UK showrooms in Spring next year but is already attracting a lot of attention.
Raul Martinez, Sales Manager at Speedwell Kia commented on the award wins: “It’s fantastic that both the e-Niro and Soul EV have been recognised at these prestigious awards. This year, we’ve had so much interest in the e-Niro and it’s clear to see why, its unique styling has attracted a lot of attention, which is great to see. Overall, 2019 has been a great year for award wins for Kia, and we’re excited to see what 2020 has in store!”
James Batchelor, Editor-at-Large and Head of Motoring Video for Carbuyer said: "Kia is one of the leading lights in electric vehicles, and its e-Niro has proved truly impressive. Its 282-mile range is well ahead of most rivals, it's easy to drive and dressed in a smart crossover suit - the e-Niro is desirable too. Boxy proportions mean there's also a sizeable boot, making it the ideal EV for families."
Both the Soul EV and the refreshed e-Niro for 2020 are on-sale now at Speedwell Kia. Deliveries of the Soul EV will begin in April, with the existing 3,000 waiting list of e-Niro expected to be cleared in the first six months of the year.
