SPORTAGE PICKS UP ‘USED CAR OF THE YEAR’ AWARD
Speedwell Kia is delighted to announce that the Kia Sportage has been crowned ‘Used Car of the Year’ at the AM Awards 2021.
The Sportage was voted for by AM’s readers and ratified by a leading panel of expert judges. Tim Rose, Editor for AM and Awards Judge, commented: “Our winner, the Kia Sportage, is always a forecourt gem, thanks to a combination of style, reliability, good equipment levels and affordability.”
Having won the award previously in 2019, the Sportage narrowly missed out on the same award in 2020. This year, Kia was shortlisted for four awards including ‘Used Car of the Year’, ‘Electric Vehicle of the Year’ for the Kia e-Niro, ‘New Car of the Year’ for the all-new Kia Sorento and ‘Manufacturer of the Year’.
New customers are still flocking to buy the Sportage, with the latest Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures from August showing that the Sportage continues to be the most popular in the hard-fought C-SUV segment, as well as one of the top ten models of any class.
The Sportage is currently available with three engine options and four trims, and has proven to be one of Kia’s best-selling models since the original launched in 1995.
